The UNITY: Uniting Youth Power Against Intolerance Project is a three year innovative and inclusive project that started in 2025, which involves 7 partners from different European Countries: BOLD (Bulgaria), Connectus (Greece), Edugep (Portugal), Lidi Smart Solutions (LSS) e MVidee (Netherlands), Bucovina (Romania)and Open Education Hub (Belgium).
UNITY aims to protect the EU values and rights by combating hate speech andhate crime and directly responding to the pressing challenges rising in Europe, promoting more inclusive policies and studying the legal frameworks from diferent countries, creating systems of support for affected people, such as migrants andrefugees, ethnical and racial minorities and LGBTIQ+ people, offering legal, psycological, and social assistance to victims of such crimes and developing educationa lresources and materials to be difused in societies as a way of strenghtening democratic values.
Our Role:
Edugep will be responsible for the development and implementation of a Quality Monitoring and Evaluation plan that include a detailed description of the indicators and the data that will be collected, as well as the instruments for its collection. As part ofthis activity and based on the data collected by all the partners, Edugep will draw up a monitoring and evaluation report, which will contain na evaluation of all the activities of the project, progress against all set indicators and a discussion of the lessons learned.
Our tasks:
Regarding other products of the project, Edugep will develop a set of educational resources focusing on hate speech and respect full communication online, targeted for use in schools, youth centres, sports and interest clubs. We are commited in producing guidelines for educators on the topic of hate speech and hate crime amongst the youth, a glossary of hate speech terms and a set of three lessons for teachers regarding the subjects addressed.
The educational resources produced by Edugep will be piloted in each country throught workshops with educators.
